managed construction projects

Managed Construction Projects

Providing managed project teams for the maintenance, modification and construction of onshore LNG, Refining, Gas Processing, Petrochemicals and Mining Sectors.

Global Resources has a strong track record for delivering managed construction programs to suit our customer’s preference for controlling work scopes on the project. During 2008 - 10, we demonstrated our ability to mobilise and manage 375 personnel for the new build construction, commissioning and testing of Dragon’s new LNG Plant and terminal at Milford haven in South Wales.

The customer chose to utilise our service against the challenge of cracking on the projects storage tanks, with a remit to support the goal to increase quality, decrease weld repairs and achieve the project schedule.  Demonstrating that Global Resources is not simply a recruitment agency, we were able to increase production three-fold through the development of new weld procedures, changing a manual SMAW stick process to GTAW-GSSCAW on the process pipework.

Our travelling workforce and management have developed an excellent reputation throughout Europe, and can boast of major construction and enhancement projects in some of the world’s most inhospitable places.  This includes a major LNG build in the world’s most northerly city, Hammerfest, in the Norwegian Arctic Circle.

During the live facilities enhancement phase, Global Resources supported the project with high grade steel, duplex and super duplex welding and support trades on the high pressure piping.

The Global Resources team demonstrated our ability to mobilise large numbers of personnel, via 24 hour transit time to site, whilst managing the team under the customer’s control.
